JPG, PNG or WebP — which one should you pick?
Choose the output format that gives you lighter files and crisper images.
JPG
The go-to for photos. Lossy compression keeps files tiny — perfect for product photography and shop listings.
PNG
The go-to for logos and graphics that need transparency. Lossless, so nothing is lost — though files are bigger.
WebP
The go-to for websites. Typically 25–35% lighter than JPG at the same quality, which helps pages load fast.
Rule of thumb: WebP for quick-loading pages, JPG for photographs, PNG whenever you need transparency.
Bulk image resizer questions
Is it genuinely free?
Yes — it costs nothing, needs no sign-up or account, and adds no watermark.
Do my images get uploaded somewhere?
No. All processing happens inside the browser on your own machine, so your files never leave your computer.
How many pictures can I resize at once?
Whatever your browser can cope with — usually hundreds. Very big files eat more memory, so massive batches can take a little longer.
Which formats can I save to?
Keep each file's original format, or turn everything into JPG, PNG or WebP. A quality slider lets you trim file size too.
Does resizing lower the quality?
Shrinking uses a high-quality resampling method, so pictures stay sharp. Upscaling starts switched off — enable "Allow upscaling" when you want them enlarged toward a target size.
Is there anything to install?
No. It works in any up-to-date browser, free, with no software to install and no account to create.
Can I size images for a particular marketplace?
Yes — one-click presets for Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay and the main social networks size every image to each platform's recommended dimensions.
How do crop, pad and stretch differ?
With Exact size mode selected, Crop covers the frame and trims whatever spills over, Pad shows the full picture with borders added, and Stretch squeezes it to the precise dimensions. Crop gives the most uniform thumbnails.
Can I batch convert JPG files to WebP or PNG?
Yes. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP as the output and set a quality level. WebP gives the smallest web files; PNG keeps every pixel.
Can I enlarge small images?
Out of the box we only shrink images so they stay crisp, but switching on "Allow upscaling" in Max or Preset mode lets them grow toward a target size.
